Applied Kinesiology / Autonomic Response Testing (ART)

At Heal Functional Medicine, amongst our other in-depth tools for testing, we utilize a method of testing called Autonomic Response Testing (ART). ART is a science based system of muscle testing developed by Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt to test the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS). While ART is similar to muscle testing, Dr. Klinghardt believes that traditional muscle testing can be inaccurate due to the ANS not functioning properly.

The autonomic nervous system is a network of nerves throughout the body that controls the unconscious processes. It regulates our breathing, heart rate, digestion, immune function, sleep patterns, and hormone regulation.

There are multiple factors that can dysregulate the autonomic nervous system (ANS) including undiagnosed food allergies, toxins such as heavy metals and other chemicals, infections, Temporo-Mandibular Joint (TMJ), Dysfunction scars, unresolved psychological stress, and electromagnetic fields. In ART we are able to identify and treat the factors that are blocking the ANS in order to allow the body to heal on a deeper level.
